A Community of Ethical Wildlife Photographers

HOWL is a gathering of ethical wildlife photographers. We are fascinated by wildlife, we love cameras, and we care deeply about the sustainability of our planet. The convention strictly abides by COVID-19 health restrictions regarding small gatherings. In-person attendance is capped at 40 people, meanwhile there is also the option to purchase an online pass which allows you to enjoy HOWL safely from home.

Covid Changes To The Itinerary

Due to COVID-19 we must modify our in-person experience to allow for social distancing

Takeout Food

Mad Musher will supply Howlers with takeout food which can be enjoyed in the comfort of your vehicle, outdoors on the Mad Musher patio, or outdoors at nearby Galeairy Lake Memorial Park. Howlers may choose to eat inside the Mad Musher Restaurant, but they must wear a mask at all times. Indoors, a mask can be taken off only if you are actively eating.

Outdoor Live Music

For safety reasons there will be no indoor live music at HOWL. The live music will be held outdoors at the Camp Bongopix Lodge, a 4,000 square foot lawn that is perfectly designed for safe, socially distanced campfire concerts. Live music will be BYOB, alcohol will not be sold but you are free to bring your own (don't drink and drive).

Virtual Presentations by Melissa and John

It is very possible that the American border will remain closed by October 23rd, 2021. Melissa Groo will likely be limited to attending in virtual format. John E. Marriott will make an attempt to attend in person, but only in the event that the health crisis in Canada does not deteriorate.
